If you’re not up for making your own potstickers any time soon, here’s a clever way to make store-bought dumplings look fancy and only takes 10 minutes to make. Homemade is not as difficult as it looks though, but we’ll do that another time…

Recipe:

  • 1 package of your favorite frozen dumplings/potstickers

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable or avocado oil

  • 3/4 cup water

  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

  1. Brush the bottom of a pan with dumplings in single layer, flat side down, to cover the entire bottom of the pan.

  2. Place over medium high heat and cook the dumplings into the bottoms are golden brown.

  3. Whisk the water and cornstarch together and pour into the pan.

  4. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.

  5. Uncover the pan and continue to cook the dumplings until the liquid disappears and a “crust” has formed.

  6. Cover the pan with a large plate and invert the the dumplings onto the plate. Garnish with sesame seeds, sliced green onions and red chilies. Drizzle with a little chili crunch oil and Sriracha.
