If you have been asked to bring a dessert to your Seder, look no further. This one will be requested every year from here on out…
Recipe:
3 sheets Matzo
6 eggs
1/2 cup (115g) caster sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 cup (80g) golden raisins
4 apples, grated ( I use Fuji or honey crisp)
4 oz (115g) salted butter, melted
Cinnamon sugar for sprinkling
Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C and grease a baking dish.
Place the matzo sheets in water for one minute, drain and squeeze out excess water.
In a bowl whisk together eggs, cinnamon, sugar and salt. Fold in the eggs, grated apple and matzo. Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and top with the melted butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and bake for 45 minutes until golden brown. Enjoy💛
