This is the only Christmas cookie you need and it couldn’t be easier…
Recipe:
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• ½ cup unsweetned cocoa powder
• ½ teaspoon baking powder
• ¼ teaspoon baking soda
• ½ teaspoon kosher salt
• 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
• ¾ cup light brown sugar
• ¼ cup granulated sugar
• 2 large eggs
• ¼ teaspoon pure peppermint extract
• ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips, chopped
• ½ cup confectioners’ sugar
• Hershey’s Candy Cane Kisses
Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt. In another bowl whisk the sugars and eggs together until well combined. Add the melted butter & peppermint and whisk again. Fold in the flour mixture and chocolate chips.
Scoop tablespoons of batter and roll into balls. Coat the balls in powder sugar. Bake 350°F/180°C for 9 minutes.
Cool the cookies but add the candy cane kisses whilst still warm.
