Caramel Crack Banana Loaf
I promise this will be your new favorite way to make banana bread...
I saw this on TikTok and knew I would never make banana bread any other way again.
Recipe:
For the banana loaf:
1 cup mashed ripe banana (2-3 bananas)
1 egg
½ cup buttermilk (or 1/2 cup milk + 1 1/2 tsp vinegar)
1 cup coconut oil, melted
2 tsp vanilla extract
¾ cup granulated sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
Instructions for the cake are on my Baklava Banana Cake Reel or my website.
Caramel:1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup hot water
Melt the sugar and water in a pan over medium high heat until it reaches a temperature of 230°F/110°C.
Pour over the cooled loaf and low the caramel to harden. Slice and serve.
