The ultimate winter comfort food for all generations. Use whichever ground meat (or meatless product) you prefer (adjust broth accordingly)and HOT TIP – add cauliflower mash to the potatoes for an extra vegetable….
Ingredients:
11/2 lbs/ 750g ground beef
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 onion, diced
2 carrots, diced
1 – 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
4 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups beef broth
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Mashed Potatoes:
11/2lbs russet potatoes, peeled
1 bag frozen cauliflower mash, thawed
1/3 cup milk, warmed
4 tablespoons/ 50g butter
Salt & WHITE Pepper to taste
1 cup grated cheddar cheese, plus more for sprinkling
