Follow @eatmywords1 for quick and easy recipes. Not in the mood to cook? Me neither. This is how you wing store- bought ingredients into a delightful bowl of midweek goodness…

Recipe:

1 tablespoon sesame oil (or avocado oil)
1 pound (450g) ground turkey, chicken or beef
1 teaspoon each of salt, garlic powder and onion powder.
Black pepper to taste
1 – 2 sachets frozen organic brown rice ( I use one from Trader Joe’s), thawed
1 12oz bag frozen organic greens blend, thawed (chop finely if you prefer)
1 bottle store- bought teriyaki sauce ( my favorite is Soyaki from TJ’s)
Red chilies, sliced and/green onions for garnish

Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet and add the ground turkey. Season with seasonings. and cook until slightly browned and all the moisture has evaporated. Pour over 2 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce and toss to combine. Stir in the vegetables and then add the rice. Pour over additional teriyaki sauce to taste (about 1/4 cup) and cook for a minute to reduce. Garnish with sliced red chilis and green onion and serve immediately .
